If you can get the cover on without making air bubbles, then you are set. If you do get some air bubbles, it's ok; it doesn't really matter. Get this item; it's cheap and they work great

The screen protector works well and I can't even tell it's there (when I also have a case on). I didn't pay attention to the instructions so ruined the first one but the second one went on really easily and I didn't have bubble problems. (It helps to start at the bottom with the hole for the button and apply upwards.) I haven't have any problems, and even ordered more in case I scratch this one or it starts to peel.
